Hoffman’s Chocolates is giving kids a treat through its partnership with non-profit organization KidSafe Foundation. The modest facade of Hoffman’s Chocolates’ Swiss-cottage-style workshop in Greenacres doesn’t give it away, but a serious amount of chocolate is made there daily.
Dozens of chocolatiers create about 15,000 pounds of treats a day, or about a pound per each square foot of the property every 24 hours. And shoppers can see their treats being molded, carved, melted and wrapped through a window the factory shares with a Hoffman’s Chocolates store on the premises — no golden ticket needed.

The Aroma
Before visitors can even take a bite, they’re enveloped by a rich, chocolatey smell that ushers them through the door. This is the sixth Hoffman’s location for the famed-Palm Beach chocolatier, and its first in Broward (with more to come). But Jarett Levan, president of BBX Capital, parent company of Hoffman’s Chocolates, says the smell gets people every time. “We’re known for our quality,” he says, adding that his favorite chocolates include the twice-dipped, dark- chocolate-covered pretzels and the salted caramels.
