A South Florida chocolate maker wants to sweeten up someone’s life for a year.
Hoffman’s Chocolates, which also sells ice cream, is launching a contest to give one lucky winner free ice cream for a year. The contest, in honor of National Ice Cream Month in July, runs from July 15 to 30.

Nothing screams summer like an ice cream treat and Hoffman’s Chocolate is about to get this summer season going. They’ve just released four new limited edition milk shakes that will be available from June 11 until August 13, 2015 at participating Hoffman Chocolates locations in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, where ice cream is sold.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, Hoffman’s Chocolates has opened a shop in Plantation.
The 1,280-square-foot chocolate shop is located in the Fountains Shopping Center at 801 S. University Drive and features an updated look for the candy company. Hoffman’s, with headquarters in Greenacres, just to the north, opened the Plantation location as part of an ongoing expansion into the Broward market.

Plantation residents are in for a treat: Hoffman’s Chocolates announced the opening of its newest store this week in the city’s Fountains shopping plaza.
The 1,280-square-foot store, at 801 South University Drive, is the candy brand’s eighth location. It offers 70 types of chocolates and confections, and 24 flavors of ice cream. A grand opening celebration is planned for May 30.
Hoffman’s opened its first Broward location just in time for the holidays. Here’s why you should stop by the new Las Olas store this season.
The Aroma
Before visitors can even take a bite, they’re enveloped by a rich, chocolatey smell that ushers them through the door. This is the sixth Hoffman’s location for the famed-Palm Beach chocolatier, and its first in Broward (with more to come). But Jarett Levan, president of BBX Capital, parent company of Hoffman’s Chocolates, says the smell gets people every time. “We’re known for our quality,” he says, adding that his favorite chocolates include the twice-dipped, dark- chocolate-covered pretzels and the salted caramels.
