GREENACRES, Fla. – As part of its ongoing support of the community, Hoffman’s Chocolates is pleased to announce that it is celebrating the start of the 2019/2020 school year by holding a Backpack Drive, on July 29 through August 11 at all of its retail stores in Broward and Palm Beach counties, to benefit ChildNet.  ChildNet is a Community-Based Care (CBC) lead agency in both Broward and Palm Beach counties that works to protect abused, abandoned and neglected children.

Anyone who donates a NEW school backpack at a participatingHoffman’s Chocolates retail location on July 29through Friday, August 11, will receive a Free Ice Cream Sundae. The offer is limited to one Hoffman’s Chocolates Ice Cream Sundae per donated school backpack (no drawstring bags, messenger bags or fanny packs).  All backpacks should be brought to the store registers for redemption. Participating locations include Hoffman’s Chocolates stores in Greenacres, Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation and Weston. Sweet Creations for Sweet Donations

Ice cream sundae contest

We held our annual ice cream sundae competition, Sweet Creations for Sweet Donations, at our corporate office on June 18th. Eight nonprofit organizations each partnered with a store manager to create a special ice cream sundae for the competition. A panel of five judges determined that the Children’s Harbor sundae was the winner. Taking home first-place, Children’s Harbor received a donation of $1,500 from Hoffman’s Chocolates.

Now Open at BB&T Center

The Florida Panthers announced today that the all-new Hoffman’s Chocolates retail location at BB&T Center is now open.

Located outside of sections 108-112 Hoffman’s Chocolates joins the “The Sweet Zone” with IT’SUGAR allowing fans many sweet choices to enjoy during Florida Panthers home games. The in-arena space will offer ice cream and more. The new store will feature the brand’s signature look and feel and all the fun, sweetness and celebration that have become synonymous with the Hoffman’s Chocolates brand. The in-arena space will feature pre-packaged selections from Hoffman’s Chocolates more than 70 types of chocolates and confectionary items including a wide variety of gourmet chocolates, double-dipped chocolate-covered pretzels, customized chocolate drenched cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, caramel apples, coconut cashew crunch and ice cream.

“We’re so pleased to add Hoffman’s Chocolates to our in-arena offerings,” said Anthony Hill, Florida Panthers Director of Corporate Partnerships. “They are not only a stand out local community pillar, but also a delicious addition to the game day experience.”

“Aligning our brand with the Panthers and the BB&T Center was a natural progression from our existing partnership with the Panthers at Winter Wonderland in Greenacres for the past two years. This Saturday, Oct. 20, the first 2,000 children under the age of 18 who visit the new Hoffman’s Chocolates in-arena location wearing a Halloween costume will receive a special treat.

Sweet Relief for First Responders and Utility Workers

We’re offering sweet relief to First Responders and Utility Workers assisting in getting South Florida back up and running post Hurricane Irma. From now through Sunday, September 17th, all Hoffman’s Chocolates stores will offer first responders and utility workers a free regular size cup or cone of ice cream (two scoops) with their choice of one topping to thank them for their hard work. A valid ID required.

 

For the Kids:

Hoffman’s Chocolates also opened up Children’s Chocolatier Classes at its Greenacres Factory this week from September 13th to September 15th to give kids and their families something fun to do with school out the rest of the week. At the classes, kids can make a chocolate pizza, decorate their own chocolate bar, or create their own chocolate sea shells.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Wins Ice Cream Sundae Competition

CFF’s winning sundae, Crunchy Monkey Peanut Butter Bang, will be available at Hoffman’s Chocolates Stores from August 21 through September 4

 

Hoffman’s Chocolates held its Ice Cream Sundae CompetitionMaking Sweet Creations for Sweet Donations at Hoffman’s Chocolates/ BBX Capital’s corporate office on August 11. Seven nonprofit organizations each partnered with a Hoffman’s store manager to create a special ice cream sundae for the competition. A panel of five judges determined that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s (CFF) Crunchy Monkey Peanut Butter Bang sundae was the winning combination. Taking home first-place, CFF will receive a donation of $1,500 from Hoffman’s Chocolates and the opportunity to have its winning flavor featured in all Hoffman’s Chocolates stores.

 

Served in a freshly-made waffle bowl half-dipped in chocolate, the over-the-top Crunchy Monkey Peanut Butter Bang sundae features three 4 oz. scoops of Hoffman’s signature ice cream.  The three ice cream flavors include Banana Cream Pie, a creamy banana ice cream with marshmallow ribbons and baked pie crust; Chocolate Fudge Brownie, a velvety chocolate ice cream filled with moist fudge brownie pieces and chocolate fudge; and Elephant Ears, vanilla ice cream swirled with peanut butter and large chocolate chips. The three scoops are topped with Hoffman’s rich peanut butter cups and fresh bananas that are covered in sugar and flambeed to a perfect crisp. The mouthwatering sundae is coated with a smooth caramel sauce and finished off with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

 

The Crunchy Monkey Peanut Butter Bang sundae will be featured in all stores from August 21 through September 4 (excluding the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport store). The masterminds behind this delicious sundae recipe were Darlene Eddy, Hoffman’s Chocolates Plantation Store Manager, and Christina Landshut, Executive Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation South Florida Office. In addition to the initial donation of $1,500, Hoffman’s Chocolates will make a second donation to support the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

 

“This is our second time holding our summer ice cream sundae competition, and it’s a really fun way for our store managers to make meaningful connections with leaders of various nonprofit organizations in our South Florida community,” said Lois Marino, Director of Community Engagement for Hoffman’s Chocolates. “The way we set up the competition, every participant walks away with a donation, so it’s a win-win for all organizations and a feel-good event for us.”

A panel of five judges sampled each organization’s sundae creation at the event. The judges included Jarett Levan, President of BBX Capital; Craig Setzer, Chief Meteorologist at CBS 4 Miami; Senator George LeMieux; Chairman, Gunster; Representative Shevrin Jones, Florida State Representatives; and Linda Buccilli, Growth and Development Director, Northwestern Mutual.

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day and you could win FREE ice cream for a year!

In celebration of National Ice Cream Day, Hoffman’s Chocolates is pleased to announce that it will offer a special Buy One Ice Cream Cup or Cone, Get One Ice Cream Cup or Cone FREE (of equal or lesser value) promotion on Sunday, July 16.  The special BOGO promotion will be available at its locations in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.*

Hoffman’s Chocolates is not only offering the special BOGO offer on National Ice Cream Day, but is also celebrating National Ice Cream Month with the continuation of its Two Buck Tuesday Ice Cream. Every Tuesday customers can enjoy one scoop of ice cream for $2.00.

  • Chocolate Pizza Class: 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18 & 25; $14.95 per child. Create a chocolate pizza with colorful candy toppings.

New Nitro and Cold Brew Coffee at Plantation Sweet Shoppe:

Customers who need an extra caffeine boost can now enjoy a delicious 12-ounce cup of Nitro or Cold Brew Coffee at Hoffman’s Sweet Shoppe at The Fountains in Plantation.  Recently introduced exclusively at the Plantation location, the cost for a cup of Cold Brew is $4.75 and Nitro Coffee is $5.00.
